This course is for delegates that are interested to learn more about the practical elements of leather manufacture, that are not necessarily interested in getting “hands on” and undertaking the processing of raw materials themselves.

Throughout the lecture series delegates will be taken step-by-step through the leather manufacturing process, with a light level of chemistry behind the processes explained. In addition to this, delegates will be present in the tannery at key processing stages to have the theory demonstrated to them in a pilot-scale tannery setting.

Delegates will undertake hands on practical tasks on the final day when they will finish their own leather and take this away with them.
