Victoria joined BLC in 1992 after obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Biology. Initially, she worked in the research group focusing on the application of biochemistry to leather manufacture. Victoria was awarded a DPhil from the Univeristy of Oxford in 1998, investigating the use of biotechnology to effect lipid removal during leather processing.
Victoria is now a partner in the business and Technical Director. She is responsible for the operational aspects of BLC’s technical business, including research, innovation, and testing services. Victoria also specialises in chemical compliance and supply chain regulatory support.
Victoria is particularly active in supporting the leather value chain with guidance around chemical
management, relevant to chemical companies, leather suppliers, brands, and retailers.
