What is the REACH SVHC Risk Matrix?
The REACH SVHC Risk Matrix is a PDF document which lists all 174 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs). In addition to the full name of each SVHC, the document also provides information on:
- The CAS Number
- Additional information about how certain SVHCs may be used in production
- Potential low, medium or high-risk material of each SVHC being present in different material categories
How can BLC Members use the REACH SVHC Matrix?
BLC Members can use this to identify which products or groups of products may be at risk of containing SVHCs. Members can also use the additional information on the REACH SVHC Risk Matrix to identify low, medium and high-risk areas within manufacturing and production processes.

How do you know if your products contain high levels of SVHCs?
The best way to find out if one or more of your products contain unsafe levels of SVHCs is to carry out due diligence testing.
At BLC, we provide a REACH SVHC testing and screening service for chemical compliance testing for compliance with European Union legislation. BLC can test your consumer products for the presence of the latest published SVHC list.
