How does this update to REACH Regulation affect your organisation?
It is the responsibility for manufacturers, brands and retailers to ensure chemical compliance with REACH regulation within their supply chain.
Organisations which supply or produce products for sale in the European Union (EU) must provide business clients with confirmation on the presence and safe use of any article containing a SVHC that exceeds 0.1% (1000ppm), and to consumers upon request. Additionally, in the case the total amount of an SVHC exceeds 1 tonne per year for all products, ECHA must be informed.
Non-compliance can result in product recall and/or significant financial implications.
