JBS Couros to present at the 2019 Sustainability in the Leather Supply Chain Conference
Fernando Bellese, Marketing and Sustainability Manager at JBS Couros will present a new approach to leather processing at the Sustainability Conference to be held on 14th March at the Hong Kong Conference and Exhibition Centre.
Anticipating market demands and driven by consumers requirements, JBS Couros has been working in the last couple of years to redesign its processes and approach to leather making, in order to generate considerable sustainability gains to its value chain, from farms to finished products, promoting transparency and cleaner production methods in line with the most demanding trends.

Fernando Bellese has worked in JBS Couros since 2011. He has an MBA from The Federal University of Uberlândia in Brazil and a Masters in Tourism, Environment and Development from King´s College - London.
With more than 10 years of experience in the leather industry, Fernando has participated in different Marketing and Sales projects focused on the international leather industry.
He has also been engaged actively in different national and international initiatives such as Leather Naturally, Leather Working Group, the Brazilian Roundtable of Sustainable Livestock and the Brazilian Special Commission for the Research of Sustainable Leather Production Processes, participating directly in important discussions involving the worldwide leather industry about innovation, supply-chain, traceability, carbon footprint, environment, transparency, animal welfare and the promotion of leather globally.
