This tool, which is offered free-of-charge to brands, enables the user to intelligently and objectively work with their suppliers to take appropriate corrective risk mitigation actions and make strategic decisions around testing frequencies, audits and test methodologies.

Why you need to manage Chrome VI risk

Brands and retailers are ultimately responsible for ensuring compliance of their consumer goods to product safety standards, and as such there is an increasing pressure to provide transparency on how chemicals are managed within the supply chain. Failure to comply may result in fines, delays or withdrawal of product from the market.

The propensity for Chrome VI formation is specific to the individual tanneries leather making process, and so it is necessary to understand the risk relevant to each supplier. The Eurofins | BLC Digital Chrome VI Risk Profiler supports the due diligence checks necessary to understand the specific risks of Chrome VI formation at the facility level and take appropriate action to mitigate these, ensuring compliance to Chrome VI product safety legislation.
