Bespoke leather training course for Thai Group

BLC has recently carried out a series of bespoke training courses for a delegation from Thailand. With an emphasis on leather care, delegates gained a greater understanding of leather as a raw material as well as in the context of a range of products. Part of the process included identification of potential problems that may occur as well as a visit to a model tannery to demonstrate how leather is made and a laboratory tour to get an insight into leather testing processes aimed at ensuring quality and safety issues are met.

The testing and problem solving prices at BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd have been held for over five years despite the difficult trading and economic climate during that period. However, due to increases in raw materials, consumables, energy, services and insurance costs, some of our testing prices will face a small increase from 1 October 2011. Not all prices will be affected and typically the price increase will be around 2.5%.

California Proposition 65 otherwise known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 is applicable to all products sold or distributed in California. The sole aim of the law is to protect Californian citizens and the State's drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposure to such chemicals.
