With consumer safety a must in today's marketplace, BLC and Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA), in conjunction with Two Ten Foundation, will hold a One Day Leather & Product Safety training course in Boston, USA on 29 September 2010. Aimed at people new to the leather industry, designers, buyers and retailers of leather products, this interactive training will provide the necessary tools to communicate more effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers, as well as the knowledge to make better buying and technical decisions. Legislative issues relating to restricted chemicals, CPSC and proposition 65 will also be covered. Leather samples and swatches will be provided and reviewed to give a basic introduction to understanding the key aspects of leather, its use, specifications, and problems.
