James Skinner joins BLC testing team
10th June, 2010
James recently joined the testing team at BLC as an analytical chemist.
Bringing with him over 10 years of experience of working as an analyst at companies such as Unilever and Intertek Testing Services, James is familiar with the use of various extraction and clean-up techniques, including liquid-liquid partitioning, accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), soxhlet extraction, solid phase extraction (SPE).
Most of his instrumental experience is with GC-MS instrumentation, with some experience in HPLC-MS. James has also used various other detectors (Flame Ionisation, Nitrogen-Phosphorus, Diode Array, Evaporative Light Scattering, etc) that have been linked to chromatographic instrumentation.
As well as carrying out analytical testing, James's role will involve method development and validation.
