Anti Dumping Duty Extended for Further Fifteen Months

European Union ministers made the final decision to extend anti dumping duties on Vietnamese and Chinese footwear for fifteen months on Dec 22.

Ten countries voted in favour of the duty extension, including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Greece and Slovenia. There were 13 nations voting against the plan, however because four countries abstained from voting they were taken to be supportive of the plan.

The additional fifteen month period is expected to begin in the first week of January 2010.
