Leather Testing
BLC is the only UK laboratory dedicated to leather testing, footwear testing and leather product testing. We are experts in all types of leather testing, from simple fastness tests to advanced analysis for odours and restricted substances in leather and associated materials.
 
BLC's UKAS accredited laboratory offers a wide range of leather tests. For example rubfastness tests, lightfastness tests, water spotting, finish adhesion, tear strength etc.

BLC can set product performance specifications for members on request to ensure appropriate performance from leather and finished product.
 
Please see our specification page. Our aim is to provide test results within 3-5 days of receipt of samples.
