Use near, and, or, and and not to combine words in your search:
solvent near reduction ranks articles according to the proximity of the words so articles that mention "solvent reduction" are more prominent than articles where the two words occur further apart
solvent and reduction finds the same articles but without ranking by proximity of the words
solvent and not reduction finds articles containing "solvent" but excludes articles containing "reduction"
"solvent reduction" finds that exact expression, including variants such as "solvent reductions"
